PHARMACY CONTRACTING SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS

Job Description
Rapidly expanding medical services and sales company operating in the United States is seeking a highly motivated pharmacy contracting specialist in Northern Reno NV.

The talented candidate we are seeking must have a strong work ethic open to working in a challenging environment. This person would have expert knowledge and experience with pharmacy contracting for a chain or large retail pharmacy. The position involves specific required daily tasks but is driven by the development and maintenance of pharmacy network contracts with all major PBM's.

The typical day would include submitting new pharmacy's for our chain and completing the necessary paperwork to establish new contracts/schedules. The qualified candidate would also be tasked with resolving new incoming support issues related to pharmacy not contracted denials. Customer interfaces include phone, email, and fax.

Main Responsibilities
. Rapidly establish initial chain contracts and schedules.
. Answer questions and resolve a wide variety of inquiries, mostly dealing with pharmacy contract related questions
. Quick learner with ability to solve routine problems on own
. Ability to triage and escalate more complex issues to the appropriate area
. Update Customer Resource Management (CRM) tasks and open cases
. Follow up on open issues and pending requests
. Advanced troubleshooting of pharmacy payor related issues
. Will be tasked with supporting operations overflow

Qualifications
. Superior knowledge of the pharmacy contracting process for a chain, franchise, or large retail facility
. Excellent working knowledge of NCPDP registration and requirements
. Excellent working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid requirements
. High level of knowledge with all Microsoft office tools, email, and advanced web browser configuration and settings
. Work well as part of a team, skilled at multi-tasking during peak support hours
. Ability to work effectively and comfortably with all levels of office staff
. Self confident, friendly, patient, hard-working, and dedicated
. Professional appearance and reliable transportation required
. Minimum 1 year of college
. Background check and pre-employment drug screening mandatory
